MANTARAY FILM are about pushing the boundaries. Breaking taboos. Sharing what it is like to live with, for example, domestic violence or meeting and communicating with convicted rapists when you are, yourself, a victim Our ambition is to make complex, visually strong films from the storyteller’s inside perspective with a focus on daring to tell your own story. Nordic partners of MANTARAY FILM today include Final Cut (DK), Pluriform (NO) and Sonja Lindén at Avanton Production (FI). MANTARAY FILM and Stina Gardell also runs The Mobile Documentary Editorial Group whose purpose is to spread the documentary narrative genre and lend a voice to groups not usually heard from within the community.

STINA GARDELL
Stina Gardell – Producer
Stina Gardell is educated at the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre in Stockholm. During the years 1992-1994 she worked as a radio producer and during 2003-2004 she did a Masterclass of Documentary film.
Stina has worked for several years as a producer for Swedish Radio, producing 11 radio documentaries and directed 5 documentary films of wish one is the much talked about See Me, from 2000, The Perfect Arab, 2004 and Cornelia, the rainbowchild from 2005.
She has also produced the documentary films Alice and Me, The Nun, Images from a playground, The Photographer from Riga and Blood calls you.

PÄR LINDSTRÖM
Pär Lindström educated as Economist at Stockholms University and joined the documentary education at Biskops-Arnö Folkhögskola 1996-97. Pär has working as Photographer, taking stills during 10 years and then swapped to film, working as photographer, director, producer 1997-2003. Moreover Pär has working many years as economist, above all for human aid organizations.
