ABOUT MANTARAY FILM & TV PRODUCTION
Mantaray Film is a new company, started in the spring of 2005. The company is the result of a collaboration between Stina Gardell in Sweden and Final Cut Productions in Denmark but is fully run by Stina Gardell from Mantarays offices in Stockholm. Final Cut with their experiences of international film production functions as a resting partner and resource.
The goal and purpose of Mantaray Film is to produce qualtiy documentaries with the ambition to get Swedish documentaries shown on Swedish movie theaters and reach an international audience. Stina Gardell production was started in 1995 and has to current date produced Swedish radio and film, but has in the recent years focused on the production of feature-length documentaries.
Mantaray Film has so far produced two feature-length documentaries. ”Alice and Me” by Rebecka Rasmusson is a strongly emotional portrait of a ninety-year old woman who sacrificed almost everything in her obsession for attention and to be loved.
